                        Information for beta versions of
                                     Henry
                                by Rune Jacobsen

· General Information

This is another intermediate beta version of Henry, v0.39ß. Following a few
recent breaktroughs in developement, Henry is now on the path to becoming a
mature program with some fairly advanced features. However, most people will
probably not see this until the next public release, which will include a lot
more nice'n'juicy stuff. For the little info there actually is in this release,
see Docs/History. Also, if you want to help out with the Henry project in any
way, please consider joining one of the mailing lists.

· New features

   · Event support - crontab-like functionality.
   · Added ARexx commands ADDEVENT, DELEVENT, TIME2DATE, DATE2TIME, ACCESS,
      DATE2WDAY, DATE2YDAY and SAVEDB.
   · Added internal commands GREET, PLUGINCTRL and SAVEDB.
   · Changed the definition of ARexx scripts started at particular events.
   · A lot of developement on plugin control, plus bug fixes etc.
   · Included GUI plugin, same as the old GUI + string gadget. :)
   · Added a way to supply additional parameters to ARexx scripts.
   · Added several advanced (and cool!) ARexx scripts by CISC.

· Henry mailing list

Henry now has two public mailing lists, one for general Henry discussion, and
one for developement discussion, i.e. for ARexx script and plugin writers. To
subscribe to them, send a mail to one of these addresses:

henry-request@rex.euroline.no
henrydev-request@rex.euroline.no

There is no need for a subject, and the body of the mail should simply contain
the following:

subscribe youremailaddress

Then, to write a mail to either of the lists, use the address
henry@rex.euroline.no or henrydev@rex.euroline.no - fairly simple!

· Problems

If you have any problems running Henry, please ask on the mailing lists, or mail
me at one of the following addresses:

   henrysupport@fido.euroline.no (Official Henry support address)
   rune@euroline.no (Work)
   shitlips@fido.euroline.no (Home)

Please mail me instead of talking to me on IRC etc., as I tend to forget stuff.

· Henry on the WWW

Go to http://fido.euroline.no/Henry/ to find the official (public) Henry page.
This page is VERY under construction, nothing sensible is on there at the
moment.

· Docs

I know the lack of docs have been a problem in the past. There are still no
finished docs availible, but a simple tutorial and a FAQ has been included. Read
these, and the chances that you'll understand how to configure and use Henry
will grow considerably.

· Legal mush

Using Henry means you accept to not hold me responsible for any damage or
anything else resulting from its use. If you can not accept this, you are not
allowed to run Henry. I'm sorry, but thanks to Microsoft and their likes, this
is what the world has turned into.

Distribution of this beta version is limited to the Henry home page and Aminet.
Appearance of this Henry archive, in part or whole, on any Microsoft controlled
media (except the internet) is very illegal and means they accept a fine of
150000 norwegian kroner, to be paid to me (Rune Jacobsen). Report violations and
pay notifications to shitlips@fido.euroline.no
