MultiCV v1.01
-------------

Introduction
------------

MultiCV is a simple program to convert ASCII
files from/to the systems Amiga, Macintosh and MS/DOS.
Note that also accented characters will be converted (if possible).

Sources are also included, so that MultiCV could be compiled on any system.

Usage
-----

To convert an ASCII file from one system to another you must
use MultiCV as follows:

 multicv -xxx2yyy srcfile destfile

where

 xxx = source system, i.e. one of ami, dos or mac
 yyy = destination system, i.e. one of ami, dos, mac
 srcfile  = source file name.
 destfile = deestination file name

Note that cannot be xxx = yyy (obvious).

For instance to convert the ASCII file myfile.txt from Amiga to MS/DOS you
can use

 multicv -ami2dos myfile.txt dosfile.txt

where dosfile.txt is the name of the destination (dos) file.

If no source nor destination file name are provided the
input is read from stdin and the output is sent to stdout, so that we
can pipe the output (and/or the input), as in the following example:

 multicv -ami2dos <dosfile.txt | multicv -dos2ami | more

Distribution Files
------------------
This archive contains the following files:

MSDOS/MULTICV.EXE Binary executable for MS/DOS
amiga/multicv Binary executable for the Amiga
multicv.c  C source file.
multicv.doc The file you are reading.
