Here comes a further update of StartupControl. It`s a MINOR UPDATE.

StartupControl is a  "multifunctional utility"  for your Startup-Sequence.
It was designed with the  intention  to offer direct control to  the boot-
process combined with easiest operation and much comfort.
With StartupControl you  can  get  information  about the status  of  your
computer and set a desired configuration every time your Amiga boots.

Comparable tools mostly  offer only  one out of StartupControls options or
are very  specific  to a single  topic and  overloaded  with  features and
therefore not easy to use.

StartupControl tries to close this gap and offer useful features which are
easy to use.


NEW in V2.33
    o Easy PAL    : When Pal-option is activated, only Workbench Screen
                    will be patchec to PAL. Monitordrivers will be loaded,
                    so you can switch to other resolutions later.
    o RegTool     : There is a new version of ADSG`s RegTool included.
                    This should make on problems anymore.

other options:
    o Automatic validationcheck at bootup for all drives
    o Automatic battclock-check. If clock has crashed it can
      easily be corrected with StartupControl.
    o AssignManager makes all assigns for you
    o CacheControl allows you to set Cache, Burst and Copyback modes
    o Execute alternative startup-sequences via requester
    o LastAlert Info gives detailed info about last guru and
      infos can be saved to a logfile
    o View + clear system resetvectors
    o WRITE-PROTECT any selected drive
    o Disable WBStartup and/or User-startup
    o Open a shellwindow
    o Execute scriptfiles
    o Run executables
    o PAL Patch - forces a selected PAL-Screen for all programs (OS2.1+)
    o Countdown Option: StartupControl will wait an amount of seconds for
      activation, before startup-sequence is continued.

Hier  kommt  nun  die  neueste  Version von  StartupControl.  Diesmal  als
MINOR UPDATE.

StartupControl ist ein "Multifunktions-Utility" für Ihre Startup-Sequence.
Es wurde mit der Absicht entworfen, mittels einfachster Bedienung und viel
Komfort, gezielt in den Boot-Prozeß eingreifen zu können.
Sie können sich mit StartupControl über den Zustand ihres Computers infor-
mieren und bei jedem Booten des  Rechners eine beliebige Konfiguration auf
einfachste Weise einstellen.

Vergleichbare Programme bieten meist  nur eine der in Startup-Control ent-
haltenen Funktionen oder  sind  sehr fachspezifisch und funktionsüberladen
und dadurch schwer bedienbar.

StartupControl will in diese Lücke  stoßen und sinnvolle Funktionen leicht
verständlich zur  Verfügung stellen.  Für  Anregungen zur  Erweiterung und
Verbesserung bestehender Funktionen bin ich dankbar.


Neu in V2.33
    o Easy PAL  : Wenn die Pal-Option aktiviert ist, wird nur der Workbench-
                  Screen gepatched. Die Monitortreiber werden geladen, sodaß
                  später auf andere Auflösungen gewechselt werden kann.
    o RegTool   : Eine überarbeitete Version des RegTools von ADSG liegt dem
                  Paket bei. Damit sollten die Probleme der Vorversion
                  Vergangenheit sein.


weitere Funktionen:
    o kompletter Assign-Manager: Dieser übernimmt, auf Wunsch, das Ein-
      tragen aller Assigns aus Startup-Sequence und User-Startup.
    o Alternative Startup-Sequencen mit komfortabler Auswahlmöglichkeit
    o CacheControl bietet Kontrolle über Cache, Burst und Copyback Modes
    o LastAlert zeigt ausführliche Informationen über den letzten Guru.
      Diese Informationen können auf Wunsch in ein Logfile gespeichert
      werden.
    o Automatische Laufwerksüberprüfung aller Laufwerke (Validation)
      während des Bootens
    o StartupControl überwacht die Systemzeit. Sollte diese nach
      einem Absturz verstellt sein, öffnet StartupConrtrol ein Fenster
      indem Datum und Zeit bequem wieder eingestellt werden können.
    o Schreibschutz für beliebige Laufwerke (z.B: Festplatten)
    o Booten ohne WBStartup und/oder User-Startup, wenn gewünscht
    o Booten im PAL-Modus erzwingen (bei TV-Anschuß)
      Dabei können Auflösung und Farbtiefe frei gewählt werden
    o Starten von Scripten und Programmen direkt über StartupControl
    o Übersicht über die wichtigsten Systemvektoren
    o Öffnen von Shell Fenstern
    o komfortable Oberfläche (Style-Guide konform)
    o Countdown Funktion: StartupControl wartet eine gewählte Anzahl von
      Sekunden auf evtl. Aktivierung, bevor die Startup-Sequence fortge-
      setzt wird.
    o Einstellungen über Preferences-Fenster möglich
    o Schnellübersicht über alle wichtigen Funktionen von StartupControl
    o Oberfläche über Tastatur bedienbar
    o Keyfile-Unterstützung für registrierte Benutzer
    o deutsche + englische Dokumentation im Amiga-Guide Format
    o Installation erfolgt mittels Installer-Script
    o ...
