This is an FTP daemon for AmigaOS4, so other computers can get files from
and put files on YOUR amiga, running RoadShow and this ftp daemon.
See original readme for more information.
To install the OS4 version :
* copy ftpd to the C: directory
* copy the ftpd.conf file to the Devs:Internet directory
* launch the Internet pref and add go to the servers part,
here click on "New...",
- in the listview, select service name "ftp" on port "21"
(that is for a default standard configuration, it can
be configured on any TCP port)
- select the type "Stream"
- put a stack size of minimum 32768
- select the ftpd executable (normally C:ftpd)
- don't enter any argument
- check the "active" box
- leave any other checkbox unchecked,
- click on Use, then on Save
read the ftpd.conf file for further instructions
After configuring you FTP server is ready.

SECURITY WARNING:
Note that in previous version, FTPUsers file contained entry "rest" which
was originally planned for use with MultiUserFilesystem under AmigaOS 3.1+
since this filesystem was not ported after AmigaOS 3.5 this part of the
program has been deactivated in this port and letting this entry was a
security hole as anyone was allowed to login.
HISTORY:
- 2.01, 24/05/2008 : - corrected a problem with non debug version which can
lead to crash
- removed entry "rest" dans le fichier FTPUser for
security reason
- added support for AmiUpdate

Il s'agit d'un serveur FTP pour AmigaOS4, permettant à d'autres ordinateurs
de récupérer ou envoyer des fichiers sur VOTRE Amiga avec Roadshow et ce
serveur ftp.
Reportez-vous au readme original pour plus d'informations.
Pour installer la version OS4 :
* copiez ftpd dans le répertoire C:
* copiez le fichier ftpd.conf dans le répertoire Devs:Internet
* lancez la préférence Internet et allez dans la partie "serveurs",
cliquez sur "Nouveau...",
- dans la liste, sélectionnez le nom de service "ftp" sur le port "21"
(il s'agit de la configuration standard par défaut, il peut être
configuré sur n'importequel port TCP)
- sélectionnez le "Stream"
- mettez une taille de pile d'au moins 32768

- cochez la case "actif"
- laissez toutes les autres cases décochées
- cliquez sur Utiliser, puis sur Sauver
lisez le fichier ftpd.conf pour plus d'instructions
Après la configuration, votre serveur FTP est prêt.

AVERTISSEMENT DE SÉCURITÉ :
Veuillez noter que dans la version précédente, le fichier FTPusers contenait
l'entrée "rest" qui était à l'origine prévue pour être utilisée sous
AmigaOS
3.1+ avec MultiUserFileSystem. Comme ce système de fichier n'a pas été porté
après l'AmigaOS 3.5 cette partie du programme a été désactivée dans ce port
et laisser cette entrée constitue un trou de sécurité car n'importe qui est
autorisé à se connecter.
HISTORIQUE :
- 2.01, 24/05/2008 : - correction d'un problème avec la version non déboguage
qui pouvait entrainer un crash
- suppression de l'entrée rest dans le fichier FTPUser
pour raison de sécurité
- ajout du support pour AmiUpdate
