What the @#$% is GoogleDoc ?
GoogleDoc is a program which allows you to translate documents or text
strings from one language to another via "Google's" translation services.
It can be launched from the WorkBench or CLI. If no parameters are given
from CLI, GoogleDoc will behave the same as if launched from the WorkBench.
There are 3 input modes and they are as follows:-
text: Intended for one line texts since a carraige return will close the
string requestor. In CLI you may also enter text directly after the
`text' parameter if you wish.
kcon: Allows you to enter or paste up to 1200 characters and will output
to a KingCON console and word wrap to your screen size. Refer to
KingCON documentation for its usage.
file: Allows you convert a text file(s) of unlimited size. In CLI you may
also specify file name(s) after the `file' parameter if you wish.
The output file will be word wrapped to 76 characters in length and
will have the same name with a language extension added to it.
eg. #?.English
WorkBench usage is fairly straight forward and CLI usage is as follows:-
Usage:- GoogleDoc <in_lang> <out_lang> <text/kcon/file>
Languages:-
ar = Arabic
bg = Bulgarian
zh = Chinese
hr = Croatian
cs = Czech
da = Danish
nl = Dutch
en = English
fi = Finnish
fr = French
de = German
el = Greek
hi = Hindi
it = Italian
ja = Japanese
ko = Korean
no = Norwegian
pl = Polish
pt = Portuguese
ro = Romanian
ru = Russian
es = Spanish
sv = Swedish
eg. GoogleDoc en fr text
If the language parameter is null (="") or invalid then the language
selector will open.
NB: Support for Hindi and "Bulgarian to English" texts is currently not
very good. For full support of these languages suggestions on how to
obtain and interpret these text codes would be welcome.
