INTRODUCTION

The german email provider GMX (Global Message Exchange) requires a POP3
authentication before you are allowed to send emails over their SMTP
servers in order to avoid a misuse of the service.
This feature is also known as 'SMTP-after-POP'.

If you do not want to read your mails first with your favourite mail
client before sending out new mails, you can use UnlockGMX to log into
your POP mailbox and to unlock the GMX mailservers for outgoing mails.

In addition to that UnlockGMX shows you how many mails are waiting in
your mailbox for download and their approximate size.


EINFÜHRUNG

Der deutsche EMail-Provider GMX (Global Message Exchange) erfordert eine
POP3-Authentifizierung, bevor EMails über deren SMTP-Server verschickt
werden können, um einen Mißbrauch des Dienstes zu verhindern.
Dieses Feature ist auch als 'SMTP-after-POP' bekannt.

Wer nicht zuerst mit seinem bevorzugten EMail-Client seine EMails lesen
will, bevor er neue verschickt, kann UnlockGMX dazu verwenden, in seine
POP-Mailbox einzuloggen und so die GMX-Server für ausgehende EMails
freizuschalten.

Darüber hinaus zeigt UnlockGMX an, wie viele EMails in der eigenen
Mailbox auf den Download warten, sowie deren ungefähre Größe.


REQUIREMENTS

° AmigaOS 2.04 or higher
° AmiTCP 4 compatible TCP/IP stack
° f!gui.library V1.x (included in this distribution)
° An Internet connection and a GMX account
