INTRODUCTION

YGM stands for 'You've Got Mail'.
It checks your POP mailboxes for new mails so that you do not have to
start your favourite yet sometimes bulky mail client just for this.

YGM shows you how many mails are waiting in your mailboxes for download
and their approximate size.

YGM is also useful for email providers who require a POP3 authentication
before you are allowed to send emails over their SMTP servers, a security
feature also known as 'SMTP-after-POP'.


EINFÜHRUNG

YGM steht für 'You've Got Mail' ('Du hast Post' oder auch 'e-m@il für
Dich' ;-).
Es prüft die eigenen POP-Mailboxen auf neue EMails, so daß dafür nicht
extra der sonst bevorzugte aber manchmal etwas voluminöse EMail-Client
gestartet werden muß.

YGM zeigt an, wie viele EMails in den eigenen Mailboxen auf den Download
warten, sowie deren ungefähre Größe.

YGM ist außerdem bei EMail-Providern nützlich, die eine POP3-Authentifi-
zierung erfordern, bevor EMails über deren SMTP-Server verschickt werden
können, ein Sicherheits-Feature, das auch als 'SMTP-after-POP' bekannt
ist.


REQUIREMENTS

° AmigaOS 2.04 or higher - AmigaOS 3.5 or higher recommended.
° AmiTCP 4 compatible TCP/IP stack
° ReAction classes or fgui.library V4.x (included in this distribution)
° An Internet connection and a mail account with POP3 access

° The argument QUIT has been added to tell an already running instance of
  YGM to quit.
