Even with the 1.05 Patch (game/patch/amber.lha) Ambermoon did not
run on a lot of 040/060 systems. You might need to download the
1.05 Patch also to make it work, but with this patch Ambermoon will
work even on systems where the 1.05 Patch *alone* did not make it
running. Also you might have to disable the option "VBR to Fast"
with CPU-Control. With these three things done (amber.lha installed,
after that Sam Jordan's patch installed, after that cpu-control)
Ambermoon runs just fine on my PowerUP Board (of course it does
not utilize the PPC, but on the 060 it runs...). If you do not have
CPU-Control you can boot without startup. Then "VBR to Fast" is
also disabled (or you can use the utility VBRMove).
The files in this archive have to be put to the Amberfiles directory.
And yes, the guy who wrote this is the same Sam Jordan who wrote the
WarpOS PPC Kernel. Actually he is not only good at PPC Coding, but also
at 68k Coding :)
I was also told that Ambermoon will run on his 68k Emulation...
