This is a port of the X11-XPaint application to Amiga/AmiWin.
XPaint is an advanced image-editing application supporting
JPEG, GIF, and XPM datatypes.
Some functions might not work and not everything was tested.
Sourcecode is included except for Image format libraries
(JPEG), which can be downloaded from the URLs quoted in
the README-file.


System Requirements:

- the AmiWin X11R6-package
- a Screenmode with at least 256 colors

Recommended:

- a graphicscard for editing larger sized images,
  due to chipmem-limitations when using AGA screenmodes

Installation:
Run the "xpaint" program out of the current directory with
subdirectory "share" after AmiWin has been started.
Make sure the application has enough stack like this:
"stack 300000"
"xpaint"

For 3D-style widgets set ENV:AMIWIN/XAW to "xaw3d". This might however
only work for registered AmiWin users.
