 periodically appear in newspapers and magazines. And television is
 not exempt from such reports.
 
 TV series like The X Files hang on the premise that flying saucers
 are real, and their presence permeates our civilization in some
 unseen, unfathomable way.
 
 This saucer is not extraterrestrial. It bears terrestrial markings.
